Halloween Home Decor Trends 2018

Hello! Happy Friday before Halloween. I don’t think many people know this, but Starbucks came up with a special Halloween menu just for TODAY. And it looked super cute and full of sugary goodness. I am sure you can last through the night or till Monday from the sugar intake in their Halloween cookies, cake pops, and Frappuccinos. Or you can savor the sweetness in the words of a grandma calling a “mocha” a “moocha” (a kiss) and laugh. But, just remember the grandma is me.

Anyways, I have decided to spend the weekend with my uncle and aunt in Walnut Creek. As some of my loyal followers know, I spend one weekend every month in Walnut Creek to bond with my uncle and aunt to relax and unwind from my high-energy household. After spending my time unwinding from the long drive to Walnut Creek, I discovered my aunt had redecorated her house in a new “fall” theme. It gave the entire home a fresh look.

What was so charming about the situation was that a few of the items she used were items I had been eyeing for fall decor as well. This year I am loving white pumpkins and cotton stems. I am so enamored by them that I found myself picking a white pumpkin at the Arata’s Pumpkin Farm (See HERE) this week. This pumpkin is special to me because it is the very first pumpkin I actually bought and used as decor for the fall. Other than that there was nothing special about why I picked it. All I knew was it was unicorn white and resembled Cinderella’s pumpkin that turned into the carriage that took her to the royal ball. It is the best $5 I spent this week. And then today, I saw my aunt had DIY-ed her house with cotton stems. It was two wins in one week!

I took pictures of some of the items I liked with my iPhone. They appear simple enough for even me to replicate without written instructions. Enjoy!
