Hi Guys! How are you? Currently, I am spending most of my lazy days searching ideas online to share with you. I was browsing online today and came across a cool trend for you to try, denim-on-denim. Now, I know you will probably write it off as being too 1990’s, but ladies you can pull this look off in 2018 with some help from Charlotte Olympia and J. Crew. So here goes:
I kinda like the idea of having the whole outfit, including the shoes in denim and then having a handbag that is bright red. While the 1990’s were all about printed handkerchiefs, scrunchies, and handbags with denim, I thought to use the sleek red color to make denim-on-denim trendy. I am totally coveting this vintage straight jean in reed wash with button fly (See HERE), this 8″ toothpick jean in light wash (See HERE), and the 10″ highest-rise toothpick jean in medium wash (See HERE). For a more relaxed fit, I could opt for Point Sur Relaxed Shoreditch straight jean with patches (See HERE). On chilly days, I can throw on this classic denim jacket (See HERE) or the denim duster jacket (See HERE). For a complete denim look, check out the Western Chambray shirt in vintage indigo (See HERE) that comes in tall, regular, and petite sizes. Love!
For footsies, I could really try any shoe from Charlotte Olympia’s True Blue collection. The Emma sandal (See HERE) will give me some height (that I don’t need…) and will look great with some boot-cut jeans. For those girls who want to embrace their inner tomboy, the Kiss Me Sneakers (See HERE) are the way to go. For some classic Charlotte Olympia flats for those classy girls, the Kitty Flats (See HERE) are still available. My personal favorites are the Kitty Slippers (See HERE) for really anyone, and the Broadway 95 (See HERE) for petite girls.
*Remember like all European brands, Charlotte Olympia shoes run small, so order a size up.
Now, comes the fun part. The handbags! With Valentine’s Day coming up, I know men are looking for gift ideas for their special someone and ladies who would love to tell them what to get. Nordstorm offers many style options and designer names in general, but they also carry a wide selection of red handbags; just look online! For example, how beautiful is this Miu Miu shoulder bag (See HERE) or this Balmain crossbody circle bag (See HERE)? The Cult Gaia Mini Ark bag (See HERE) is a more affordable option. For other high-end options, consider the Loewe Small Barcelona Grainy Leather Crossbody Bag (See HERE) or the Salavatore Ferragamo Vara Leather Wallet on a chain (See HERE). You can’t go wrong with the Valentino Garavani RockStud Leather Clutch (See HERE) or this classic Gucci Bag (See HERE).
*There is a great selection of red handbags on sale, like this Ted Baker shopper (See HERE) or this Kendall + Kylie Tote (See HERE). So head over to Nordstorm and check out their collection of romantic red handbags.
